FORMS HONOR SOCIETY
Argentine High School Organization Recognizes Scholarship
An honor society organized at the Argentine high school has for its object the recognition and encouragement of scholarship. The society is expected to furnish incentive for scholastic work.
F. L. Schlagle, principal of the high school, has named the following as members of the society: Ruth Young, Emma Bacon, Elsa Danneberg, Velma House, Mary Beaumont, George Wing, Gerald Lillard, and Madine Miller.
As a basis for membership, Mr. Schlagle has taken into consideration the fact that a movement is underway for organizing a national high school honor society and he has tried to make the standard of eligibility so high that Argentine honor students may have an early affiliation with the national organization.
Excellence in all subjects is required for admission to the society.
